Suitable Asana for religious activities?
Asana means the position in which you are sitting i.e. Siddhasana, Padmasana or Sukhasana. Apart from this, the place on which you sit is also called Asana. The Asana in which you sit and do Asanas, in that, your mental and physical energy waves have a specific speed and direction, whereas the place on which you are sitting gives a solid base to those energy waves to achieve their goal. It reduces the percentage of possible loss of energy reaction and stops it completely.
The results of various Asanas have been described in the Tantra essence of 'Brahmand Purana'. Open ground brings troubles and obstacles, wooden Asana brings misfortune, bamboo mat Asana brings poverty, stone Asana brings disease, grass-straw causes loss of fame, leaf (leaves) Asana causes loss of intellect and single green shimmering cloth Asana causes harm to Japa-Tap-Meditation. Electrical infection occurs quickly through metals, but electrical infection does not occur through wood, porcelain or kusha etc. The first type of substances are infectious and the second type of substances are non-infectious.
On the basis of infectious and non-infectious elements of electrical current, ancient sages have designed various objects for seating. Ground smeared with cow dung, Kushasan, Mrigajin, Vyaghrajin and woolen cloth etc. are non-infectious. If daily rituals, evening prayers or meditation are performed sitting on such a seat, then the electrical current under the earth does not have any ill effect on the body. In this, Mrigajin, Vyaghrajin and Singhajin are considered progressively superior.
In this regard, 'Yajurveda' says - Krishnajinam Vai Sukritasya Yonih. That is, the skin of a black deer is the father of all virtues. One miraculous quality of deer skin is that it protects us from earthly electrical current. Also, due to the specific energy flow adopted by it, Sattva Gunas develop. The Tamoguni tendency present in the body gets destroyed automatically. 'Ayurveda' says- A person who sits on a deer does not suffer from diseases like piles and fistula. Just as Sattvic energy is obtained from a deer, in the same way Rajas energy is obtained from tiger and lion.
Apart from this, poisonous creatures like mosquitoes, scorpions and snakes do not come near the skin of tiger and lion. But these asanas generate extra heat in the body. Choose an asana for yourself only after considering all these things. If you have to do sadhana for a long time, then it is necessary to take any of the above mentioned asanas. To remove its defects, wear woolen clothes. Here it is also necessary to know that do not hunt deer etc. to get a skin asana. Only the asana made from the skin obtained after a natural death proves useful for the sadhak. If skin asana is not available, then use Darbhasana. Keep in mind the scientific point of view and a special point regarding asana. It is also necessary to get out the extra energy and heat generated in the body while doing sadhana. Apart from this, the heat and energy of the earth should not be allowed to infect your body. Such asana should be used so that both the tasks are successful. It is not beneficial to use wood as an asana. Wood is mildly infectious. A sadhak who does Purashcharana sitting on a wooden seat feels ashamed - this is a matter of experience. Woolen seats are not harmful for the internal heat and energy of the earth but help in removing the excess energy and heat of the body. While choosing a seat, keep in mind that sitting on it should not cause pain to any sense of our body and the feet should not swell due to the cold touch of the ground.
